KIWA LH5 2020 - WHAKANUIA!

"Miss Nikita - with her OG!"
Tena Koutou Katoa! As my son said, "Kei te pehea koutou i tenei ahiahi tino ataahua! ("How are you all this beautiful afternoon?").

Welcome to a new WORD! The word is "KIWA"! And Te Whanau o Te Moananui-a-Kiwa is the new hub on the 'Gis Int' block! Our hub represents a whanau that celebrates creativity and diversity, with a healthy dose of stubborn-nicity! (See, told you we were creative!)

KIWA is made up of 30 students; 14 boysies and 16 girlies. We have six Year 8 students (the oldies) and we have twenty-four Year 7 students (the youngies).  The 'youngies' like to think they are the boss, but they are misled.  The 'Boss' is Koka Wendy.

KIWA holds a massive group of amazing students who love to learn... just kidding! We do have those who love to work, but just like all tweenagers, they love to socialise more!

Hope you all have a good day and enjoy reading about ALL of the awesome learning adventures that we are 'up-to' here in Te Whanau o Te Moananui-a-Kiwa!  Mauri Ora Whanau!

THE DIGITAL DIG

We have just had our last 'Manaiakalani Digital Session' for 2019!

Today we were learning to navigate (move around) my device.  All students in Hineraukatauri also learned about some Google 'Apps' (a.k.a. 'Applications') that can help them to do things faster online.

We would like to extend a massive 'THANK YOU!' to Koka Maria Krausse for providing our class with some amazing digital learning experiences and for stepping in when Koka Renee took up another opportunity. And a massively belated mihi to Koka Renee for sharing your wonderful expertise with our tamariki.  Kei whea mai!
